The fourth annual Great Give Palm Beach & Martin Counties on May 17 will have more than 400 nonprofits participating in the 24-hour online fundraising event.
Hosted by the United Ways of Palm Beach and Martin counties, Achieve and Nonprofits First, Great Give raises money for local nonprofits.
“We are really excited for this year’s Great Give,” United Way CEO Laurie George said via a spokesperson. “It’s not just about how much we raise for our community during this one day of giving, which is amazing in itself. It’s also about how the nonprofits can benefit year-round from online fundraising tools and social media, the valuable visibility generated leading up to and during the Great Give, as well as the acquisition of new donors, funders and collaborative partnerships.”
In addition to the funds raised, bonus pool dollars and prizes, nonprofits and the community will also benefit from local businesses that have supported the event by offering special promotions, in-store incentives, happy hours and more, including the Great Give CityPlace Takeover.
From 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., Great Give hosts and participating nonprofits will set up at CityPlace in West Palm Beach. The plaza and surrounding areas will be filled with arts and crafts, animals for adoption, dancers, performers, live music, information and easy ways to give to the nonprofit(s) of your choice.
“CityPlace is committed to supporting important efforts that contribute to the betterment of the community, so we’re thrilled to partner with Great Give Palm Beach & Martin Counties to help raise millions of dollars for community good in just a single day,” Ryan Hallihan, general manager of CityPlace, said in a statement.
