Health literacy is critical when marketing in healthcare. But many professionals, especially in non-pharma sectors of the industry, don’t know how to use it.
Dodge recently organized a panel of three healthcare marketers who provided deep insights on the importance of health literacy when marketing products and communicating effectively to patients and providers alike. Panelists included Deb Bruce, senior content writer at AVID Design; Liz Carden, senior vice president of behavioral strategy at New Solutions Factory; and Tara Auclair, senior marketing communications manager at Modernizing Medicine.
Panelists gave their perspectives on how health literacy can be applied to different sectors in healthcare, tips for how marketers can get started on applying these principles to their own efforts, and of course, some great war stories.
