Modernizing Medicine Earns Top Ten Spot on the Florida Business Journals’ ‘Fast 100′ List

Company Recognized in State-Wide Competition for Second Consecutive Year

Boca Raton, FL – September 22, 2014 – Modernizing Medicine, Inc., creator of the Electronic Medical Assistant® (EMA™), a cloud-based, specialty-specific electronic medical record (EMR) system, announced that it has been named a fastest growing company in the state by the Florida Business Journals. This marks the second year in a row Modernizing Medicine has been included on the “Fast 100” list, again ranking in the top ten.

The Florida Business Journals began ranking the states’ ‘Fast 100’ in 2013. Research directors within the Jacksonville, Orlando, South Florida and Tampa Bay markets judge private companies across the state based on revenue growth between 2011 and 2013. The final list includes companies from a number of industries (including advertising, professional services and healthcare).

“We’re thrilled to be included on the ‘Fast 100’ list for the second year in a row,” said Daniel Cane, CEO and co-founder of Modernizing Medicine. “Our staff works tirelessly to develop such a unique technology to offer specialty physicians, and this acknowledgment of the company’s growth is certainly a testament to their dedication to improve healthcare and health outcomes not only in the state of Florida, but across the country.”

To date, over 4,000 physicians have used EMA in over 10 million patient encounters. Modernizing Medicine currently provides offerings for eight different specialties, most recently launching EMA Otolaryngology™. Each comprehensive solution includes the features EMA has become known for, including the EMA Interactive Anatomical Atlas™ and EMA Virtual Exam Room™.

The announcement of ranking seventh on the “Fast 100” list comes shortly after Modernizing Medicine was ranked third on the South Florida Business Journal’s ‘Fast 50’ list, which focused on both public and private companies in the area. Approximately one-quarter of the ‘Fast 100’ finalists consisted of companies headquartered in South Florida.

Details about the ‘Fast 100’ and the full list of honorees are available on the South Florida Business Journal’s website.
