Modernizing Medicine Introduces EMA Gastroenterology at Digestive Disease Week in Chicago

Company Debuts Template- and Macro-Free EMR System with Specialty-Specific Medical Knowledge

Boca Raton, Florida – May 5, 2014 – Modernizing Medicine, Inc., the creator of the Electronic Medical Assistant® (EMA™), a cloud-based, specialty-specific electronic medical record (EMR) system, is introducing and showcasing its newest offering made specifically for gastroenterologists, EMA Gastroenterology™, at Digestive Disease Week this week.

Developed by gastroenterologists for gastroenterologists, template- and macro-free EMA Gastroenterology is the first EMR system of its kind for gastroenterologists and contains built-in specialty-specific medical knowledge. It is also available as a native iPad application and can be accessed via the Internet virtually anywhere and at any time. This flexible format, combined with EMA’s touch-screen interface and ICD-10 capabilities, gives providers the freedom they need to efficiently run their practices and the comfort of knowing that charting, coding and billing will be completed before physicians leave the exam room.

“Gastroenterology is a complicated field that deserves an EMR system designed with its physicians’ specific needs and challenges in mind,” said Daniel Cane, CEO of Modernizing Medicine. “By having our own gastroenterologists code the system, we’re enabling users to practice more efficient medicine and provide better care for patients.”

The seventh offering from Modernizing Medicine, EMA Gastroenterology includes all of the features EMA has become known for, including the EMA Interactive Anatomical Atlas™ and EMA Virtual Exam Room™. Digestive Disease Week attendees can explore all of these features within EMA Gastroenterology at Modernizing Medicine’s booth #2814. Additionally, Modernizing Medicine’s Dr. Elliot Ellis, medical director of EMA Gastroenterology, will be on-hand to discuss EMA features and important industry trends.

The company will also offer a special opportunity for Digestive Disease attendees to participate in its EMA Premiere Program. The program will be available for a limited-time only, and potential participants can visit the booth to learn about how to get involved.
