Modernizing Medicine Opens New Headquarters

Boynton Beach, FL, December 3, 2010  Modernizing Medicine, Inc., a Boynton Beach electronic medical records company announced today that it has occupied its new offices at 3330 North Federal Highway in Boynton Beach. The company hosted a ribbon cutting by company executives, Jose Rodriguez, the Mayor of Boynton Beach, and officials of the City Redevelopment Authority and the Chamber of Commerce.

“The new facilities will enable us to consolidate several separate offices and give us room to grow,” said Dan Cane, CEO of Modernizing Medicine. “The success of our medical service offering, EMA-Dermatology, has meant we need to expand our staff in all areas. These new offices, with an open-plan design, will give us space and flexibility to add people and adjust to our evolving needs.”

The expansion was facilitated by a grant by the City Redevelopment Authority of Boynton Beach. The CRA grant paid for part of the build-out costs and will offset some of the monthly rental. “We are very grateful for the support we have received from the local community,” said Bob Nagro, Chief Operating Officer. “They have welcomed us with open arms, and have been most helpful as we planned and executed the expansion.”

Modernizing Medicine’s offering, Electronic Medical Assistant or EMA, was announced at the meeting of the American Association of Dermatologists in Chicago, in August, 2010, and has since gained significant acceptance in the dermatology community. Designed by practicing dermatologists, EMA enables physicians to truly save time and money in their day-to-day operations. The offering takes a completely new approach to patient information capture and processing, using the latest in Internet and touch screen technologies for ease of installation and use. As a Software-as-a-Service offering, it only requires a web-browser equipped PC or Mac, with no other hardware or software on-site at the medical practice.
