Modernizing Medicine Showcases EMA Gastroenterology at ACG 2014

Company Now Offers Highly Intuitive, Touch-Based EMR System with Built-in Specialty-Specific Medical Knowledge for Gastroenterologists

Boca Raton, Florida – October 16, 2014 – Modernizing Medicine, Inc., the creator of the Electronic Medical Assistant® (EMA™), a cloud-based, specialty-specific electronic medical record (EMR) system, will be showcasing its newly launched EMA Gastroenterology™ system at this year’s American College of Gastroenterology Annual Scientific Meeting (ACG 2014) in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. EMA Gastroenterology was first introduced to the gastroenterology field in May 2014 at Digestive Disease Week in Chicago.

The first of its kind, EMA Gastroenterology was developed by gastroenterologists for gastroenterologists and is a template- and macro-free system. EMA Gastroenterology contains built-in specialty-specific medical knowledge and is available as a native iPad application and can be accessed via the Internet virtually anywhere and at any time. The flexible format, combined with EMA Gastroenterology’s touch-screen interface and automated ICD-10 capabilities, gives providers the freedom they need to efficiently run their practices and the comfort of knowing that charting, coding and billing can be completed before physicians leave the exam room.

“For all physicians, including gastroenterologists, maintaining the patient-physician relationship is extremely important,” said Dr. Julie C. Servoss, EMA Gastroenterology Medical Director at Modernizing Medicine. “EMA Gastroenterology allows physicians to both interact with patients during a consultation, providing them with the best patient care at the time of the visit, as well as practice evidence-based medicine.”

Dr. Servoss and EMA Gastroenterology Team Lead Dr. Elliot Ellis will be at booth #1117 demoing the technology to attendees and showcasing all of the specialty-specific attributes and features available. ACG 2014 is taking place at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in downtown Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, from October 17 – 22, 2014. You can learn more about the conference here.
