So just what is Black Book™ Research and their rankings? And what do they mean? If you haven’t heard the news, Modernizing Medicine received not just one but four #1 spots. Our specialty-specific electronic health record (EHR) systems for dermatology, otolaryngology, plastic surgery and gastroenterology earned the #1 spots on the Black Book Research Top EHR lists in those spaces. For us as a company, it’s like receiving an Olympic Gold medal as a team. This is the third year in a row we have ranked #1 in the dermatology category, the second year we have ranked #1 in the otolaryngology market and the first year the company has ranked #1 in the plastic surgery space. And drumroll please, gGastro, the EHR system built by gMed, a Modernizing Medicine company, received Black Book Rankings’ award for Top Ambulatory EHR for gastroenterology for the sixth year in a row.

    • Black Book Research provides qualitative insight into the industry’s top vendors through 18 key performance indicators, which are collected from a client submitted ballot
    • Over 450,000 EHR users were invited to participate in this year’s survey, and nearly 18,000 shared their views
    • The data collected is subjected immediately to an internal and external audit to verify completeness and accuracy as well as to ensure the respondent is valid while making certain the anonymity of the client company is maintained
