Modernizing Medicine co-founder Michael Sherling today will unveil the health care-tech startup’s new electronic health record system geared to dermatology practices at the Association of Dermatology Administrators & Managers annual meeting in Orlando.
The software system, called the modmed Dermatology suite, is among the first to include built-in merit-based incentive payment system intelligence. It is designed to help clients exceed the minimum threshold or achieve exceptional levels of performance amid the evolving valued-based care system taking hold of the country’s health care industry.
Modernizing Medicine’s automated system features composite score reporting, analytics systems and benchmarking reports that document healthcare providers’ performance in near real-time, the company said.
Sherling will also introduce the Patient Kiosk, a platform built to speed up the check-in process by letting patients update their personal information and medical history and sign consent forms on an iPad.
“… It’s critical to have the right health care technology to help find the balance of driving better outcomes while reducing the administrative burden on physicians and their staff,” said Sherling, who also serves as chief marketing officer of the Boca Raton company.
