Women Executive Leadership, a South Florida organization that advocates for women on corporate boards, is hosting two events in September and October that focus on women leadership.
On Sept. 14, the group is scheduled to host its fourth annual leadership conference at the Marriott Harbor Beach Resort & Spa, 3030 Holiday Dr., in Fort Lauderdale. The keynote speaker is Giselle Cheminand, president and CEO of GCI Worldwide Corp., an executive coaching consultancy based in Fort Lauderdale.
The event is from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The conference is $450 for non-members and $400 for members. For more information and to register, go to http://welflorida.org.
On Oct. 6, Women Executive Leadership will hold an event with global executive search firm Spencer Stuart, focusing on its 2015 Board Index Study.
The study shows trends on board composition and board practices among major multinational organizations, emerging companies and non-profit institutions.
Robert DeVries, global head of practices, and Julie Daum, North American board practice leader for Spencer Stuart will share insights from the study.
The event is 5:30 p. m. to 7:30 p. m. Oct. 6 at Right Management, 1301 E. Broward Blvd., Suite 200, Fort Lauderdale. The cost for non-members of Women Executive Leadership is $25; members are free.
