That’s because on the Agenda View, you can easily see the provider’s schedule, patient name, date and time of the visit, reason for visit, and status of the appointment. To make it even easier, it also comes with additional details like the patient’s phone number, who is responsible for paying for the visit and if the patient has a balance.
Similar to paper charts, the Patient Chart includes past medical and ocular history, medications, allergies, global periods, a list of past visits, visit notes, Rx history, attachments and even pathology results. And as the visit continues, our EHR system automatically summarizes the information in the Visit Overview screen.
Each eye exam is completed inside the Virtual Exam Room, where tapping and drawing are highly encouraged. Findings are identified by touching and placing check marks where applicable. Some areas even have arrows to allow grading of a finding. With functionality like this, you can focus on your patients while the EHR helps you complete the documentation. Additionally, you can change any pre-populated information that EMA documents. With quick impression edits, the final result is always up to you.
Technically it’s an acronym, but that’s not what we mean. EMA® was designed to make value-based care easier for you. With it, you can gather, track, benchmark and submit your MIPS reporting data with our built-in MIPS Dashboard. It collects MIPS data within the flow of the exam, without adding lots of time or clicks. From there, you can track your estimated MIPS composite score and progress on each measure and category.
In addition, you can take advantage of our Specialized Registries and submit your Quality, PI, and IA data to CMS through our MIPS functionality.
So why are you typing when the Drawing Tools in EMA® are great for engaging patients and saving you time? Our freehand drawing feature uses automatic recognition of the drawing location for faster documentation. You can also use predefined drawings that can be stamped on any part of the eye, scaled and rotated for quicker labeling.
Well, at least when it comes to Diagnostic Image Management. When images are just a click away from your regular notes, you can easily switch back to documenting, then open the images again from within the patient’s chart.
You have wisdom that your patients just don’t have. But how confident are you that they remember what you tell them? With EMA®, you can generate Patient Handouts with each visit—and even upload your own custom handouts information for distribution. Verbiage from the visit note automatically populates on the patient handout, with information such as:
