Life’s Cycle Women’s Care provides exceptional, comprehensive healthcare and aesthetic support for women and men in and around Ardmore and Southern Oklahoma. The team of providers, led by Dr. Pamela Kimbrough, provides preventive care as well as diagnosis and treatment for health issues that can occur in all stages of a woman’s life — from early adulthood through menopause. Additionally, they offer high-quality skin care and minimally invasive cosmetic treatments.

Dr. Kimbrough and her team used two separate outdated systems for clinical documentation and billing for close to 15 years. The technology no longer suited their needs, so they decided to evaluate other options. The group’s main goals were to adopt a user-friendly, all-in-one platform that would increase efficiency, improve patient flow, and provide patients with the ability to access their medical records at any time.

I’ve beClose up photo of a personen in practice management for 25 years so I’ve had a lot of experience with many different EHR and PM systems. ModMed OBGYN is one of the easiest systems I’ve used.

One of the common things I heard after joining Dr. Kimbrough’s practice was the amount of time the providers used to spend documenting and dictating after hours with their previous software, which kept them from having real quality time with their families. Since switching to ModMed, they have gone from spending hours in the evening completing their notes, and not getting out of the practice until sometimes 8PM, to now leaving the office within an hour after we close around 5PM.

The transition to ModMed has given them more work-life balance because the system is so efficient. From my assessment, there has been a 20% to 30% reduction in burnout and the joy in what they’re doing has improved significantly.

ModMed has also helped our practice innovate because we have the ability to automate pricing discounts to push out new products or specials to our patients. It’s quick and easy.

In addition to a great system, the team at ModMed is wonderful to work with. Shortly after I began my tenure at the practice, the ModMed team was on-site and they were so helpful. There was nothing we could ask them that they couldn’t answer, and I think that was really foundational. We know we have the support of the ModMed team to help when we need it.

Since switching to ModMed OBGYN, we have experienced more efficient coding and quicker billing turnaround times. What I love about ModMed’s PM is how everything is automated. Patients can make payments online, and they are automatically posted. Previously, we had to post everything manually.

Regarding claims, you can add scrub rules that automatically pull the claim, and they are sent to the clearinghouse. If something’s not right, it automatically kicks it back so I can get it fixed quickly instead of waiting on a denial from the actual insurance company. With our previous system, we sent out statements and did not have the option for online payments. It used to take weeks before we would see any patient payments come in. With ModMed, the automated process works so smoothly that we are seeing payouts every couple of days. This has improved our bottom line because we can predict our revenue stream more consistently and accurately.

The reporting capabilities and Inventory Management functionality are very easy to use and understand. We do have an aesthetic side of our practice, and we do sell cosmetic makeup as well as skin care. So being able to track that more efficiently has been amazing. It has reduced a lot of stress in the office because it has helped alleviate some workload. It’s just amazing.

We know that ModMed was the right choice for us because of how supportive their team was during our implementation. They made the transition from our old system, which we used for close to 15 years, seamless. Even still, the ModMed team continues to be amazing in supporting us whenever we need it.
