I think Modernizing Medicine’s implementation pre-phase, if you call it that, was phenomenal. Setting up configuration, it was a lot of training hours and everything was laid out in a succinct manner to do this first, this next and so on.

Three months ahead of go-live, we decided to identify super users. Those super users are basically product owners of their section of the EHR system. And so we identified those individuals and they were able to basically take ownership from the very beginning, to configuration, all the way through the EHR as in setting up the protocols and the plans. And so we really hit the ground running.

And so in the whole process, Modernizing Medicine’s trainers were on call, either here onsite or a phone call away assisting us. I can’t say enough how much they saved us in these processes. I mean, they were on call. They would answer our text messages. They would answer our emails and basically put up with us.

About a month before go live, we had people in the conference room learning how to use them, learning how to use practice management. So we expected zero problems at go live. If you didn’t know how to use the system by then, you were just sleeping or not here for whatever reason. It was a lot of hand holding until the point before go-live, and we were kind of like, ah, we don’t need you right now. We got it.
