Here’s a quick recap of the top takeaways. Whether you were able to join us at MOMENTUM or not, these all-new AI solutions, time-saving techniques and momentum-building methods can help you get on track and stay on track for a successful 2025.
KEY TAKEAWAY #1: AI is the future and the future is here
It seems like AI is everywhere these days. And as we revealed at MOMENTUM, AI now has a place in your practice with ModMed® solutions. Inside our first-ever AI Pavilion at MOMENTUM, attendees got an exclusive sneak peek at the AI-powered solutions we’ve been developing — solutions designed to help practices like yours cut down on administrative tasks, speed up documentation, build stronger face-to-face relationships with patients and so much more.
This breakthrough AI technology could change the very way you run your business.
AI-powered clinical efficiency
ModMed Scribe and gScribe™
At MOMENTUM, ModMed Cofounders, co-CEO Dan Cane and Chief Medical and Strategy Officer Michael Sherling, MD, gave the first-ever LIVE demo of our all-new AI ambient listening solution, ModMed Scribe. Behaving as your very own hands-free scribe, ModMed Scribe (for EMA®) and gScribe (for gGastro®) solutions can capture your patient encounter in real time, as you speak, suggesting documentation for discussed diagnoses, treatment plans, prescriptions and more.
Built right into our EHRs, there’s no additional software or logins needed, and you have the opportunity to review, edit and accept the suggested note content before saving it to the patient’s chart. These AI-powered solutions are designed to help providers document faster with less need for manual data entry, allowing them to be more present with their patients.

AI-powered operational workflow efficiency
Enhanced Faxing for EMA and gGastro
Visitors to our AI Pavilion at MOMENTUM got an exclusive sneak peek at our AI-powered Enhanced Faxing solutions for EMA and gGastro. We designed these solutions to help your front office, clinical support and admin staff spend less time combing through, categorizing and manually entering data from inbound faxes into patient records. Using the power of AI technology, our solutions are designed to triage faxes for you by identifying the relevant patient, categorizing the type of fax, and reducing the amount of manual data entry required.
Denial Assessment
Using AI technology and built on insights from an extensive set of historical claims data, our new Denial Assessment solution for ModMed Practice Management users is designed to evaluate and flag claims that have a higher likelihood of denial before they are submitted. We built and trained this tool to help reduce the probability of denials up front, empowering your team to spend less time managing denials and allowing you to improve your practice’s overall billing efficiency.
AI-powered Patient Collaboration
Automatic message categorization and routing
As part of our Patient Collaboration tools with Klara, our message routing tool is designed to use the power of AI to categorize inbound patient messages and automatically route them to the appropriate team’s inbox at your practice. This automated categorization system can reduce the administrative burden on your front office staff while helping you respond faster to patient inquiries.

KEY TAKEAWAY #2: Enhanced solutions for enhanced efficiency
In addition to all the exciting AI announcements at MOMENTUM, we wanted our ModMed users to know that AI hasn’t been our only focus. We’re always looking for new ways to enhance our solutions so we can help make your day-to-day even more streamlined and efficient. Here are a few additional updates that you can expect to see in the coming months.
Online patient check-in (no app required)
It’s important to give your patients a streamlined experience, and that starts long before they arrive for their appointment. Among the new Patient Collaboration features in our 2025 rollout is our enhanced online patient check-in. Patients will receive a text message with a link to check in for their appointment, and a simple tap of that link will take them to an online check-in page where they can add their insurance information, sign consents, pay outstanding balances and more — without ever having to switch to or download another app.
eStatements for EMA
We’re making it easier for patients to access their bill directly in Klara, without having to log in to the Patient Portal or mobile app. Not only will they be able to view their full Practice Management eStatement, but they’ll also have the opportunity to view/pay their balance from this or any previous visits. With this updated feature, we’re helping improve patient access to billing statements and reduce billing-related inquiries coming into your front office.
Text-to-Pay for gGastro
We’re launching our streamlined text-to-pay solution for gGastro users! Simplify the payment collection process for your patients and staff by sending automatic or manual payment reminders via text (SMS). Patients can tap the link in the message to pay their balance, save a card on file, enroll in autopay, and immediately receive a PDF receipt with a detailed description of charges and payments. And since the text-to-pay solution syncs directly with gPM™, patient payments are immediately reflected in the practice management system for your staff to access in real time.
Biller Console
MOMENTUM attendees who sat in for our “Introducing the Biller Dashboard” session, now renamed Biller Console, were given a detailed walk-through of the features and functionalities of this new tool designed to transform your billing workflow with time-saving efficiency. Flexible and customizable, the Biller Console can be tailored to your unique needs, prioritizing the billing information you value most and offering you real-time visibility into your practice financials — all in one place.
By the way…
If billing inefficiencies are causing bottlenecks in your revenue cycle and getting in the way of securing on-time payments, we can help. With our professional revenue cycle management services, you can rely on our experienced billing specialists to take patient billing calls, submit claims, work with you to resolve denials and handle other time-consuming tasks. Plus, you’ll have a dedicated client success manager who understands your specialty and will help you take a closer look at key metrics, create a customized RCM plan for your practice, and work with you to help you meet your goals.

KEY TAKEAWAY #3: Maximizing productivity by prioritizing mindfulness
Amid the buzz of AI announcements, solution enhancement sessions and time-saving trainings, we took away another important message from MOMENTUM: You are most productive when you prioritize you.
Our inspiring keynote speaker Suneel Gupta, renowned author, entrepreneur and founder of RISE, reminded us of the importance of restoring personal energy to maintain professional momentum. Finding small ways to reinvest in yourself — your health, passions and joy — can positively impact your energy level, leading to a boost in productivity, better balance and less burnout.
Gupta suggests making minor changes to your day-to-day life, including:
- 55:5 – Take more breaks than you think you should
Gupta suggests the 55:5 model — for every 55 minutes of work, allow yourself a 5-minute break. Take this break without being burdened by guilt — what you gain in productivity during work periods will more than make up for any time you “lost” during breaks. Can’t accommodate the 55:5 model? Try creating a structured work-rest model that makes sense for you.
- Find your list of “ukuleles”
Make a list of activities or simple pursuits that reset you. Playing a musical instrument. Taking a 5-minute walk outside. Dancing to your favorite song. When it’s time for a break, consult your list and give yourself the gift of a few moments of unburdened joy. You’ve earned it.
- Savor the positive, not the negative
Gupta noted that the human mind naturally tends to dwell on the negative and dismiss the positive. He suggests reversing this inclination by savoring every positive experience — no matter how small. When something good happens in your life or business, allow yourself a moment to live in that positivity. It may be exactly what you need to get through moments when things don’t go your way.
When working in a busy practice, it’s important to find ways to prioritize your personal well-being to help maximize productivity and minimize burnout.
