The evolution of the AI-Powered Practice
Let’s get real: The best kind of AI doesn’t replace real human connections — it strengthens them. At MOMENTUM, we saw that not only is AI here, but it’s already helping ModMed practices connect and engage with patients on a deeper, more meaningful level. But we aren’t stopping there. We’re elevating our solutions to help you build the ultimate AI-Powered Practice — where workflows are seamless, face-to-face interactions come first, and click fatigue is a thing of the past.
The headliner: ModMed Scribe 2.0 has arrived
Make way for the next evolution of our specialty-specific AI-powered clinical documentation solution. ModMed Scribe 2.0 delivers a new level of AI sophistication, with proprietary specialty-trained models that allow providers to speak with patients naturally, without awkward pauses, direct commands, or robotic language. This is a leap forward in healthcare, and MOMENTUM attendees were the first to see it in action.
And because everyone loves a good acronym, here’s ours for highlighting key moments from MOMENTUM 2025:
FOMOM (noun, informal): Fear of missing out on MOMENTUM.

FOMOM MOMENT: ModMed co-Founders — co-CEO Dan Cane and Chief Medical and Strategy Officer Dr. Michael Sherling — dazzled attendees with the first-ever LIVE demonstration of ModMed Scribe 2.0. Audience members played an active role, creating an impromptu patient persona, diagnoses, and symptoms for a mock clinic visit. Dan and Michael played their parts perfectly, but the real star of the show was ModMed Scribe 2.0, which seamlessly captured their intentionally meandering conversation and perfectly translated it into detailed, structured note content in seconds.
- What it does: Trained on de-identified clinical data sampled from 750 million real patient-provider encounters and built natively in our EMA® EHR, ModMed Scribe 2.0 translates natural conversations between the provider and patient into clinical actions, like prescriptions, lab orders, and patient education. It’s designed to reduce documentation time, enhance face-to-face patient engagement, and improve clinical efficiency with comprehensive AI-suggested notes.
- When it’s available: ModMed Dermatology customers who are currently using ModMed Scribe automatically received the upgrade to ModMed Scribe 2.0 after the new model was released on October 31. All other EMA specialties are currently slated for general release in 2026.

At MOMENTUM, you don’t just hear about our AI-powered solutions — you experience them. In addition to our specialty-specific Pre-Conference Training Workshops and Main Conference sessions, where attendees can dive deep into the detailed inner workings of our products, this year, for the first time ever, our ModMed Medical Directors also hosted specialty-specific live ModMed Scribe demos throughout the weekend.
Plus, our team of Modernizers was always on standby at the Solutions Bar and ModMed Support station to answer any questions.
Vibrant social events
Each year at MOMENTUM, we go all out for our Client Appreciation Event, a themed party in celebration of our ModMed customers. This year, attendees came dressed to the nines in colorful costumes and wonderland-worthy attire and spent the evening getting lost in a whimsical world at the Surreal Soiree. With live music and an enchanting ambiance, we dined, we danced, and … we didn’t want it to end!
Inspiring keynotes
This year’s keynote speaker was none other than Wall Street Journal best-selling author Steven Van Cohen. The topic of his keynote? The importance of finding and nurturing real connections with the people around us. In a presentation filled with hilarious anecdotes, eye-opening statistics, and interactive audience trivia, Steven helped us understand the fundamentals of creating connections and why building meaningful relationships is more important than ever.
Collaboration all ‘round
Our Customer Success Roundtables are always an attendee favorite at MOMENTUM. These specialty-specific open forums provide our ModMed customers an opportunity to work together, learn from one another, and share unique insights, strategies, and best practices for using ModMed solutions.
