Modernizing Medicine Recognized as Business of the Year

Boynton Beach, FL – April 27, 2012 – Modernizing Medicine today announced as the recipient of South Florida Business Journal’s Business of the Year: H. Wayne Huizenga Startup Award.

Modernizing Medicine chief executive officer, Daniel Cane, attributes the Company’s success to the extraordinary innovative, passionate, and ambitious team members who have been instrumental in delivering its Electronic Medical Assistant™ (EMA) application; transforming the healthcare industry and revolutionizing the way doctors interact with their patients through technology.

“We are honored to be recognized,” said Daniel Cane. In just two years, Modernizing Medicine has captured 10 percent of the private practice in dermatology nationwide, has recently launched into the ophthalmology and optometry sectors, and will be releasing products for orthopedics and plastic surgery.

“Business of the Year should have an impact far beyond the fiduciary duty to its shareholders”, said Daniel Cane. “It should be working to a better future in their industry and for our community, our state, and our country.” Cane believes the company’s culture comes from the top. His executive team is actively involved with local nonprofits, universities, and museums.
