Orthopedic Practice Management, EHR System and Analytics Designed to Reduce Documentation Burden and Physician Burnout
Boca Raton, Fla. – March 5, 2018 – Specialty-specific health information technology leader, Modernizing Medicine, Inc., will showcase its expanded solution suite, modmed® Orthopedics, including the iPad-based electronic health record (EHR) system, EMA™, and enhanced PACS interface capabilities at this year’s American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS) Annual Meeting in Las Vegas, Nev.
Built on structured data by practicing orthopedic surgeons, EMA intuitively adapts to each provider’s unique style of practice. The mobile, touch and cloud-based solution was designed to help orthopedic surgeons move through exams efficiently and automate notes and bills.
In an effort to further serve the unique needs of orthopedic surgeons, Modernizing Medicine and Ambra Health recently announced an enhanced cloud PACS interface to streamline image exchange with EMA. With this update, orthopedic surgeons can use EMA with almost any PACS system, experience faster turnaround of studies and promote a better overall experience for patients, plus reduce manual effort.
“As an orthopedic surgeon who also develops software, I understand the pressures of evolving payment and care delivery models. We designed EMA and ModMed Orthopedics to be intelligent systems that automate processes to reduce documentation burdens,” shares Stuart A. Davis, MD, MHA, orthopedics team lead at Modernizing Medicine. “The right technology can not only alleviate stress and burnout, but also significantly improve the clinical, financial and operational aspects of an orthopedic practice.”
In addition to EMA and the enhanced PACS interface capabilities, Modernizing Medicine will showcase the entire ModMed Orthopedics suite, including:
- MIPS intelligence platform* – similar to the technology that led PQRS success rates, EMA’s built in Merit-based Incentive Payment System (MIPS) solution helps track estimated Composite Score and has robust analytics and benchmarking reports to ease data submission.
- Practice Management – a seamless system that combines scheduling, document management, billing and reporting with EMA.
- Analytics – a platform that allows practices to turn data into actionable insights, from enterprise to a patient level, to improve clinical, financial and operational performance.
- ModMed Kiosk™ – a native iPad application designed to help increase patient engagement and save staff time by enabling patients to perform self-service tasks at the doctor’s office.
