As stated by CMS, “any licensed healthcare professionals and credentialed medical assistants can enter orders into the medical record for purposes of including the order in the numerator for the objective of CPOE (Computerized Provider Order Entry) if they can originate the order per state, local and professional guidelines.” Furthermore, CMS outlines “credentialing for a medical assistant must come from an organization other than the organization employing the medical assistant.”*

Medical assistants can now obtain access through Modernizing Medicine to ATI-Allied Health’s Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) online preparation materials and practice tests and registration for a certification test offered by the National Healthcareer Association. Enrolled medical assistants can also attend Modernizing Medicine webinars on the curriculum and learn how it relates to entering orders in EMA.

Meaningful Use (MU) Customer Testimonials

“Your assistance in attesting for meaningful use was invaluable. Could not have possibly done this without your help. Once we had the ID numbers from Medicare the process was easy. I would be glad to have EMA attest for me the next time this needs to be done. A definite value-added service provided by this EMR. Without assistance, I would not have been able to get the job done. Too confusing.”

Joseph Zaladonis, MD

“Since we are a new business everything that we do here is a learning experience, and the stress associated with the meaningful use requirements was daunting. You sent very clear directions on how to prepare a binder, and with the go to meeting help for the actual attestation, it was not a difficult process at all. I would definitely use the services for all of our Meaningful Use attestations in the future. Thank you so much for the guidance and for answering all of my questions. You provided excellent customer support service!”

Kim Housel, Office Manager

“Jayne was incredibly helpful with the attestation process. She walked me through step by step, confidently answering any and every question I had. Made the ridiculously confusing process much more manageable.”

Erica Collerhan, MD
