The mmREACH LGBTQ+ community at Modernizing Medicine celebrates and supports individualism and diversity. Diversity includes but is not limited to race, color, ethnicity and national origin, gender, and gender identity, sex, sexual orientation, socio-economic status, age, physical abilities, religious beliefs, political beliefs or other ideologies. Over the past few years, the organization has raised funds for nonprofits such as Compass Community Center and works with Sunserve.

Encouraging lasting change of cultural biases
mmUnity strives to challenge cultural biases through constructive dialog, internal partnerships and thought-provoking programs. These initiatives serve to advocate for deliberate application of diversity commitments in hiring, professional development, and promotion decisions to positively affect Black, Indigenous & People of Color (BIPOC) throughout the organization. The organization hosts lunch & learn events, champions fundraising efforts to support community initiatives, and develops programs to support BIPOC at Modernizing Medicine through various committees. This is not simply a moment, this is a movement.

As part of our commitment to further the developing and advancing female talent, we help support women through the Modernizing Medicine Women in Innovation and Technology community, known as mmWIT. This program develops and enables women to lead and innovate as they grow in their professional careers.mmWIT hosts educational panel discussions, mentoring events, networking gatherings, book clubs and community outreach programs. With a dedication to wellness, mmFit is the fitness-focused employee-led initiative at the organization. From salsa lessons to yoga (now taking place virtually) and an annual company-wide fitness competition called the ModMed 5000, the group fosters a sense of community with some healthy competition and fun.

Since its inception at our company, the group has featured both internal and external speakers and provides a fun and inviting environment to help build upon all levels of public speaking skills.

Developing the Future

Modernizing Medicine supports programs and initiatives that help develop stronger educational and entrepreneurial endeavors that lead to a brighter future. From our relationship with Palm Beach State College to hosting PACE Center for Girls, we leave our footprint in the communities in which we work and live.

Company-Wide Initiatives

Throughout the year, our offices in Florida and California and our remote team members across the country join together to hold Thanksgiving food drives, holiday toy collections and events to support the United Way.

Medically Focused

We focus on causes around our medical specialties—from digestive disorders to children’s skin diseases and more. Our company has supported such causes through employee education and forming teams for walks and runs.

Employee Empowerment

Each employee is encouraged to give back to the community in their own personal way by using their annual paid day off benefit to donate their time and talents to the charity of their choice. Food banks, at-risk girls, nature centers and more have seen a positive impact from our Volunteer Time Off. Individuals are encouraged to become involved members of the community by joining local organizations to encourage development both professionally and personally that extends outside of their day-to-day responsibilities.
