ONC HIT 2014 Edition EHR Certification from ICSA Labs
ICSA Labs, an independent division of Verizon, offers vendor-neutral testing and certification. 2014 Edition ONC HIT Certification is granted to those technologies that are capable of meeting the more rigorous testing criteria developed to support providers and hospitals who wish to demonstrate Stage 2 meaningful use, which focuses on the capability of health IT to deliver higher quality patient care and exchange clinical information securely.
EMA version 4.0’s certification number is 140055R01 and EMA Mobile version 4.0’s certification number is 140050R01. ONC HIT certification conferred by ICSA Labs does not represent an endorsement of the certified EHR technology by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

The clinical quality measures to which EMA 4.0 and EMA Mobile Version 4.0 have been certified include: CMS#56v2, CMS#66v2, CMS#68v3, CMS#75v2, CMS#90v3, CMS#127v2, CMS#138v2, CMS#139v2, CMS#147v2, CMS#156v2 and CMS#165v2.
The additional software relied upon to comply with one or more of the certification criteria for both EMA Mobile version 4.0 and EMA version 4.0 include: First Databank, LDM ConnectSys, Surescripts Rx Routing/Scripts and Updox Direct.
Modernizing Medicine charges certain one-time and ongoing fees for the use of its products; however, Modernizing Medicine does not currently separately charge eligible providers or hospitals additional fees specifically for the implementation of such products’ certified capabilities. Modernizing Medicine may also offer certain “meaningful use” or other consulting services to its customers for which Modernizing Medicine may charge an additional fee.
About ONC Certification
The ONC Certified HIT Technology program tests and certifies that Health IT technology is capable of meeting the 2014 Edition criteria approved by the Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS). The certifications include Complete EHRs, which meet all of the 2014 Edition criteria for either eligible provider or hospital technology and EHR Modules, which meet one or more — but not all — of the criteria.
